Given the stakes for our lake and our community, it’s imperative for Tahoe to become a national leader in confronting climate change. That means cutting ties with the polluting fossil fuels driving the problem, and repowering South Lake Tahoe with 100% clean, renewable energy. More renewable energy means more good clean energy jobs, cleaner air and water, and healthier communities.
So far, 25 cities across the U.S. have made the 100% clean energy commitment, including a growing number of mountain communities like Park City, UT, Moab, UT and Aspen, CO. Now it’s Tahoe’s turn to step up and take bold action toward the clean energy future that we need.
Please sign the petition to ask the City of South Lake Tahoe to commit to securing 100% of our electricity from clean, renewable sources like solar and wind by 2030.
